PADI Rescue Course

Our next Rescue Course begins Tuesday 2nd May with open water dives Saturday 6th and Saturday 13th of May

The PADI Rescue Diver course takes your training to the next level expanding your knowledge and experience level. You will learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is challenging, it is a rewarding way to build your confidence. Rescue diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and if necessary manage dive emergencies. Many divers say this is the best course they have ever taken.

The Rescue Diver course is unique compared to many other courses in that it provides you with a set of skills and options that you can use in the unfortunate event that you are present in a diving emergency.

The skills that you will learn are:

  • Tired Diver
  • Panicked Diver
  • Self-Rescue and Diver Stress
  • Missing Diver Procedures
  • Surfacing an Unconscious Diver
  • In-Water Rescue Breathes
  • Egress (exits)
  • Emergency Management Equipment
  • Dive Accident Scenarios

Course fee (including all learning materials) £295

There is self study manual with five knowledge reviews and a final exam to complete. There will be a theory session with an instructor before the final exam to go through any areas you want to cover.

The nature of the course is that it is very practical however, there will be a theory session first followed by a pool session. This enables you to understand and practise your skills before going to open water. The open sessions are conducted on a weekend with the course broken into four training modules spaced over two weekends with a final module comprising of rescue scenarios.

To complete the Rescue Diver course it is mandatory to hold a valid First Aid CPR qualification (within 2 years). If you don’t hold a qualification you can take the PADI Emergency First Responder (EFR) course that we run in conjunction with the Rescue course which is discount for student enrolled on the Rescue course.
